Is my listing already on the site?
If you hold an active state contractor license, yes — your basic listing is already live. Search for your company name or license number to find it. Basic listings include your business name, license number, trade, and location sourced from public state records.
How does the verification process work?
We verify ownership through your state-registered email address — the one on file with your state licensing board. When you submit your license number to claim your listing, we send a confirmation link to that address. Clicking the link confirms you’re the authorized owner. If your state records have an outdated email address, you’ll need to update them with your licensing board before claiming.
What if my company doesn’t have a state-registered email on file?
Contact your state licensing board to update your contact information, then return to complete the claim process. In Michigan, this is handled through LARA. Other states have equivalent processes. If you’re having trouble, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll help you work through it.
Can I cancel my Verified subscription?
Yes — cancel anytime from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your listing will revert to a free listing and you’ll keep access to basic features. No prorated refunds are issued for partial periods.
Can I have multiple listings for multiple licenses?
Yes. Each state contractor license gets its own listing. If your company holds licenses in multiple states or for multiple trade categories, each license has a separate profile. Each Verified subscription covers one listing — contact us for multi-license pricing.
What if my license information on NCI is incorrect?
Base listing data is sourced from public state licensing records. If information is incorrect on NCI, it may also be incorrect in the state database — check both. To request a correction on NCI, contact us at [email protected] with your license number and the correct information.
